Patturaja Selvaraj


Patturaja Selvaraj is a tenured faculty in the Department of Management at Gettysburg College and will serve as the Harold G. Evans Professor in Eisenhower Leadership Studies starting in August 2022. He received his Doctorate in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) from Alagappa University, India, Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) in Marketing from PSG College of Technology, India, and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from PSG College of Arts and Science, India. Prior to joining Gettysburg College, Patturaja Selvaraj was an Associate Professor in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management Area at the Indian Institute of Management Indore, India and taught courses at the graduate and doctoral level. He has also engaged in various training programs for working executives and consulted for public sector organizations. He also worked with National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India for about 8 years in their personnel department.

At Gettysburg College, Dr. Selvaraj teaches courses in Labor Relations, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, International Management, and Organizational Theory. His research interests include entrepreneurship and its social community context, migrant workers, job insecurity, industrial relations, and disciplinary processes. His work has been published in top rated journals like the Journal of Business Ethics, Business Ethics Quarterly, Personnel Review, and the International Journal of Conflict Management among others. He serves as an advisor to the Honor Commission.

Prof. Selvaraj will lead the Eisenhower Institute Undergraduate Fellows program starting in August 2022.
