Maddy Casey ’21 is a French and international affairs double major from Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
On campus, Maddy currently serves as a peer learning associate in the Political Science Department, a student employee for Gettysburg Dining Services, and as a peer research mentor at Musselman Library.
Additionally, she is a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, for which she previously held executive board positions for four semesters, and Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, through which she also holds leadership positions. This year, she is also a member of the executive board of the Order of Omega, and the choreographer coordinator for the Gettysburg Dance Ensemble.
During the spring semester of her junior year, Maddy studied abroad in Dakar, Senegal. While there, she studied development studies, participated in an internship at the think tank Afrikajom, explored the city, and practiced French and Wolof.
Upon graduation, Maddy hopes to continue to participate in community service, learn new languages, and pursue a career related to the protection of civil liberties and human rights.
