Kurtis Grey


Kurtis Grey ’21 is a public policy and political science double major with minors in  peace & justice studies and Middle Eastern & Islamic studies. He was born and raised in Plymouth, Massachusetts.  

At Gettysburg, Kurtis is a U.S. Army ROTC cadet, a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, where he serves as the chapter’s president, and currently is the Student Senate president. In addition, Kurtis works as a program coordinator at the Center for Public Service at the SCCAP Support Circles Program. 

Kurtis studied abroad in Amman, Jordan during the fall semester of 2019, examining geopolitics and international relations in the Middle East, in addition to studying Arabic. 

While in Amman, Kurtis interned at the Al Quds Center for Political Studies. Here, he worked on projects about youth movements for democracy in the Middle East, assisting in writing policy papers to be published in Arabic and English. He also helped to organize a conference on women in politics in the Kingdom of Jordan. 

Upon graduation, Kurtis will commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.
