Samantha Anastasiou ’21, from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, is a Political Science and International Affairs dual major. On campus, Samantha is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, and of Chi Omega Sorority, where she currently holds the position of Recruitment Chair. She is also a former member of the Women’s Division 3 tennis team. Additionally, Samantha is a reviewer for the Gettysburg Social Science Review and a feature writer for The Gettysburgian, the college’s newspaper.
Samantha spent the summer of 2019 interning at a New York City law firm. She analyzed case files, drafted memos for attorneys, and communicated with clients. She also contributed to the company’s blog with a post discussing the injustices of our current legal system. These opportunities broadened both her knowledge and interests in the study of law. In the fall of 2019, Samantha studied in Aix en Provence, France, focusing on French art history and Muslim Presence in Europe. These studies heightened her interests in international cultures and affairs, which will contribute to her senior capstone.
After graduation, Samantha plans to attend law school.
