Aidan Kennedy ’21, from Alexandria, Virgina, is a Political Science and Public Policy double major who was raised in Danville, Pennsylvania. He is a recipient of the David Wills Scholarship. Aidan was a Fielding Center Associate, helping to organize and advertise various Eisenhower Institute events.
In the summer of 2019, Aidan interned with the Garthwait Leadership Center, where he remodeled the Leadership Certificate program to align more closely with their goals and he conducted interviews for the Manager of the Creativity and Innovation Lab. He continues to work for the GLC as an office assistant.During the 2019 fall semester, Aidan studied abroad at in Budapest, Hungary. There, he studied international politics, international feminism, and Hungarian. As an intern for U.S. Congressman Don Beyer (D-VA 08), Aidan performed constituent services and drafted tweets on climate change for the Safe Climate Caucus. Later that year through a college-sponsored externship, he observed day-to-day court proceedings and witnessed the impact of Drug Court with Judge David Ashworth of the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas.
After graduation, Aidan plans to pursue a career in government relations and attend graduate school with a focus on public policy.
