Ambassador Julia Chang Bloch

"The Importance of Promoting US-China Relations Through Education & Exchange"

Ambassador Bloch was the former ambassador to Nepal and the first president of US-China Education Trust-an organization that promotes US-China relations by educating China's future leaders.  Amb. Bloch's lecture is part of Gettysburg College's Asian Cultural Week 2009, "Eleven Days in Asia," designed to celebrate Asian culture and encourage global citizenship.

Jameel Jaffer is Director of the National Security Project at the American Civil Liberties Union and a director of Equitas: The International Center for Human Rights Education. A human rights monitor for the military tribunals at Guantánamo Bay, he co-authored the 2007 book, Administration of Torture: A Documentary Record from Washington to Abu Ghraib and Beyond, with Amrit Singh.

Rev. Barry Lynn and Jay Sekulow are leading voices in the debate over the role of faith and religion in American politics and government. Lynn is the Executive Director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State and Sekulow is Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).
