Inside Politics is the Eisenhower Institute's semester-long mentoring experience on campus and in Washington, D.C. designed for Gettysburg students from diverse academic disciplines. Each semester will bring experts to campus to work with a select group of Gettysburg College students.

Inside Politics: Howard Ernst: "Troubled Waters"

The Eisenhower Institute is excited to announce a new Inside Politics program for Fall 2010-Spring 2011. Entitled "Troubled Waters: Environmental Policy and the Chesapeake Bay," this program is offered by Eisenhower Institute Fellow Howard Ernst, Ph.D. The program aims to provide a select group of Gettysburg students with an intensive opportunity to explore and discuss the central concepts of environmental policy, experience the Chesapeake Bay's environmental problems, and interact with the Chesapeake Bay's environmental policy community.

Inside Politics: Kasey Pipes

Last spring, Inside Politics' Expert-in-Resident was journalist, speech writer, and presidential historian Kasey S. Pipes. Nine students participated in the program, which included a trip to Washington D.C. where students met with a variety of D.C. insiders, including David Mark, senior editor for Politico; political consultant Tucker Eskew; U.S. senate candidate Roger Williams; and political commentator Juan Williams.

This year, Kasey Pipes will be hosting another Inside Politics program for Fall 2010. The application deadline for this program has passed.

Last spring, Inside Politics' Expert-in-Resident was journalist, speechwriter, and presidential historian Kasey S. Pipes.  Nine Gettysburg students participated in the program: Andrew Ferreira, Sarah Slater, Lyudmila Marinova, Lynn Jorden, Hilary Landfried, Sara Cawley, Ryan Kosyla, Michael Walsh, and Gregory Pennington.
