Sara Garrett ’20 is a Political Science and Economics double major from Remsen, New York.
Sara serves as the President of the Economics Research Club and is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha and Omicron Delta Epsilon honors societies. She is also a member of the Student Alumni Association, serves as a Tour Guide for the Admissions Office, works in the Center for Global Education, and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters. This year she will also lead an Immersion Project focused on Debt, Economy, and Statehood in Puerto Rico through the Center for Public Service.
In the fall of 2018, Sara studied Multilateral Diplomacy and International Relations in Geneva, Switzerland. While there, she completed an independent study project focused on the intersection between the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative and Pakistan’s Financial System. During the summer of 2019 she was an intern for Gettysburg College’s Alumni and Parent Relations offices.
Prior to becoming an Eisenhower Institute Undergraduate Fellow, she participated in the Inside Politics program and has completed the Garthwait Leadership Certificate program.
Upon graduation, Sara plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in the nonprofit sector.
