Hanna Bogorowski '18 is a Political Science major and Business minor from Philadelphia, PA.
She is a member of the Political Science National Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. She has consistently been on the Dean's Honor List, and is a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship, a merit honor given at Gettysburg College. She serves as Treasurer and Judicial Board member for her sorority, Chi Omega.
Hanna's interest in politics began the summer after high school, when she interned for Sen. Patrick Toomey (R-PA). There, she gained exposure to the political sphere through extensive support of Sen. Toomey, including handling constituent phone calls and engaging in extensive policy research important to local and national voters. In the summer of 2017, Hanna interned at the Republican National Committee in their Communications department. Here, she monitored the 24-hour news cycle, pushing the party's agenda by creating press releases, pitching stories to reporters, and writing Op-Eds on behalf of the party. She was also responsible for monitoring their television trackers and creating extensive press lists, both invaluable assets to any communications department.
In 2016, she studied abroad in Seville, Spain, where she focused on International Business and Management. There, she volunteered at a local elementary school, teaching English to young children.
Hanna first became involved with the Eisenhower Institute her junior year, when she participated in Inside Politics with Kasey Pipes.
After graduation, Hanna hopes to begin a career in broadcast journalism.
