Owen Keenan’21, from Langhorne, PA, is a Political Science and Public Policy double major with a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. Owen is a proud native of Bucks County; the swing district of the swing state of Pennsylvania. Over the past summers Owen has interned for U.S. Congressman Brendan Boyle and also for PA Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman.
On campus, Owen is President of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, and Vice President of the Gettysburg Peace and Justice Student Council. He has worked as both a Resident Assistant and Community Advisor in campus housing; a tutor in the Writing Center; and formerly served as a research assistant in the Public Policy department. Owen has been active with politics during his time at Gettysburg, volunteering for the local Democratic Committee, as well as on campaigns for national and statewide elections. Using his political and writing skills, he has published letters to the editor in The Atlantic as well as The Philadelphia Inquirer, and an op-ed in the campus paper, The Gettysburgian.
After graduation, Owen hopes to embark on a career where he wears a suit to work every day.
