Marley Dizney Swanson

f2017_Marley_Dizney_Swanson_EIUF_prelim_headshot_forWebMarley Dizney Swanson ’18 is a Political Science and Public Policy double major with minors in Spanish and Economics from Hillsboro, OR.

She is the President of College Democrats, a research assistant in the Political Science department, and President of the Pi Sigma Alpha and Omicron Delta Kappa chapters at Gettysburg.

She received a Critical Language Scholarship in Turkish in the summer of 2015, sending her to Bursa, Turkey and in the spring of 2016, she studied Economics and International Relations at the University of Havana in Cuba.

She is currently a Siegfried Fellow at the Center for Development and a Joseph J. Malone Fellow in Arab and Islamic Studies at the National Council on US-Arab Relations.

She has worked at the Eisenhower Institute since her first semester at Gettysburg and has participated in both the Inside Politics and Inside the Middle East programs.

This past summer, she interned at the U.S. Supreme Court in the Office of the Counselor to the Chief Justice. After graduation, Marley hopes to spend a year doing research in the Middle East before continuing on to specialize in constitutional law at law school.
