  • Eisenhower Selected for the Department of Energy's Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future

Susan Eisenhower has been selected to serve on the Department of Energy's just-formed Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future. The fifteen member panel will provide recommendations to Congress and the White House on how the nation's used nuclear fuel and waste will be managed. The announcement was made by Energy Secretary Stephen Chu on Friday January 29. The Commission will be co-chaired by former Congressman Lee Hamilton and former National Security Advisor General Brent Scowcroft.

Susan Eisenhower is the Eisenhower Institute's Chairman of Leadership and Public Policy Programs and Chair Emeritus.
