His latest publication, bestseller The American Gospel, formed the basis of his discussion on Friday, "God and Politics: From George Washington to George W. Bush."
On April 9, the Eisenhower Institute hosted Sen. Chuck Hagel at the National Press Club. In front of a packed house, Sen. Hagel spoke about his new book, America: Our Next Chapter, which charts a course for America's future.

On March 26 and 27, 2008, the Eisenhower Institute and the Center for Public Service sponsored an Immigration Forum at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa. The two-day event drew large crowds of students, residents, and immigrant families and featured an award-winning documentary and a panel discussion.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2008, The Eisenhower Institute hosted its first Author Series Event of the year with former Congressman Mickey Edwards, who served Oklahoma's 5th congressional district from 1977 to 1993. Edwards discussed and signed his recently released book "Reclaiming Conservatism: How a Great American Political Movement Got Lost ¿ And How It Can Find Its Way Back."
On February 19, the Eisenhower Institute, together with the University of Maryland (UMD), hosted a workshop to discuss Nuclear education as an integral component of Global Nuclear Partnership/Nuclear Renaissance.
The Eisenhower Institute's Undergraduate Fellows recently launched a Web Log (Blog) dedicated to the discussion of opinions regarding public policy. The Blog will feature posts by the Undergraduate Fellows on topics that are of national interest, such as the 2008 primary election.
The Eisenhower Institute is pleased to announce the selection of the 2008-2009 Undergraduate Fellows: Marc Fialkoff, Denitsa D. Koleva, Justin Oliveira, Madeline Shepherd and David W. Neagley. The new Fellows' term will coincide with the 2008-2009 academic year.
