


The Eisenhower Institute presented a public address by Michael Doyle, "Bush vs. Congress: Assessing the 110th Congress," on November 14, at 7 p.m. at Gettysburg College.
Doyle is a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow and spent the week at Gettysburg College engaging students in a number of classes and other informal settings. He is a reporter in the Washington Bureau of the McClatchy Newspapers, covering national and international issues for a number of California newspapers. Among his special areas of interest are immigration, trade, agriculture and resource issues. He also covers the U.S. Supreme Court for 14 newspapers.
In recent years, he has covered three presidential campaigns, the air war against Yugoslavia in 1999, and international summits in Brussels, London, Miami, Houston and Rio de Janeiro.
In addition to his reporting experience, Doyle has held teaching positions at the University of North Carolina, Arizona State University, Simpson College and Illinois College. In 2001, he held the position of media fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution on War. He has appeared on Face the Nation, The Today Show, CNN's The Point with Greta Van Sustern, Wolf Blitzer Reports, and Fox's The Edge with Paula Zahn.
Doyle holds a B.A. from Oberlin College, a Master of Studies in Law from Yale University Law School, and a Master in Government degree from Johns Hopkins University.
