Jean Edward Smith, deemed “today’s foremost biographer of formidable figures in American history” by journalist George Will, makes the case that, with the exception of FDR (the subject of Smith’s last bestselling biography), Dwight Eisenhower was the most successful president of the twentieth century. The event will include a brief reception with light fare and refreshments, followed by Smith's lecture with an introduction by Susan Eisenhower, a question and answer session, and a book signing. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. To register for the event, please contact ei@gettysburg.edu or call 202-628-4444 by Friday, February 24.
