Author Series Event - Sen. Chuck Hagel

 "America: Our Next Chapter"

About the Book:

Senator Chuck Hagel believes that the years ahead can be inspiring and productive new chapters for America. But success will be the result of hard work, smart and informed policy and, most importantly, strong and enlightened leadership. In his new book "America: Our Next Chapter," the two-term senator from Nebraska examines the current state of our nation and charts a course for its future.

With characteristic honesty and candor, this fourth-generation Nebraskan looks to the nation's founding principles and gives his clear-eyed view of the state of our nation. In four separate sections, Hagel puts forward personal perspectives, historical analysis and carefully considered solutions to the economic, foreign policy, national security, political, domestic, and leadership challenges facing America.

With the common sense and disarming frankness that has made Hagel one of our most respected and admired politicians, "America: Our Next Chapter" reminds Americans of what they like best about their country.
