Mission

Vision Statement

The Eisenhower Institute prepares the successor generation for careers in public policy and seeks to assure that this rising generation is ready to assume its responsibilities as citizens and stewards of the public good.  Established in honor of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Institute emphasizes education, research and leadership by awarding scholarships, internships and mentor opportunities on issues of critical long-term importance to the United States.

Positioning Statement

The Eisenhower Institute advances a model of public policy, including the rigorous pursuit of facts, respectful dialogue among citizens and a focus on the future.  The long-time relationship with Gettysburg College enables the Institute to operate within the values of a liberal arts education that embodies critical analysis, discourse, reflection, leadership and action.

The Eisenhower Institute engages leaders and learners for the purpose of addressing critical issues in public policy and leadership development.
